Bukisa Changes Payment

At the time of this blog post, Bukisa has changed their payment method. Bukisa used to pay per page view when work-at-home freelance writers posted articles. Recently, Bukisa made the switch and is transitioning to Google Adsense payment.

What does this mean?

If you have a Google Adsense account, you add the info into the Bukisa template. If you don't have a Google Adsense account, the site makes it easy to sign up for one. Instead of making money by the number of unique visitors that visit your articles, you make money from the Adsense revenue.

Writers Banned from Google Adsense

Some writers are now at a disadvantage. They have been banned for life from Google Adsense. There is no other form of revenue on Bukisa, after the transition period. Writers that were earning significant page views, that do not have Google Adsense, will see a significant drop in earnings.

Writers with the Wrong Type of Articles

Articles written to generate traffic are often quite different than ones written to generate high-paying ads. The ad-click ratio significantly drops for various niche topics. When writers joined Bukisa, the goal was to generate traffic for page view money. Now, many of their articles will experience no revenue because the ads will not match or the ads will be for low-paying keywords.
